Smokey gave us 6 little butter beans on June 28th, 2023, 3 blues and 3 blacks. We have one little blue girl and a whole wolf pack of brothers.

APRIL FOOL LITTER

Etta kept us waiting and we were sure she would never pop! April Fool on us. Miss Etta graced us with a whopping 7 kitten litter of nice, healthy and robust little black wolflets on the All Fools Holiday, April 1st.

Faolan Don't Cross the Streams x Faolan Kiss Me Kate

This litter is progress on recapturing lykoi from an outcross project. The outcross was selected for color (blue and color point) as well as for outstanding personality, lovely expression, and solid body type. Note that the dam is an F1 outcross (furry lykoi carrier) and she carries one gene for polydactyly (aka mitten-toes or Hemmingway cats), so when bred to lykoi, 50% of the kittens are expected to be lykoi and 50% of those may be polydactyl.

In this litter we have two blue polydactyl Lykoi girls (incidentally the first I am aware of) and we do look forward to moving this line forward into the next generation for genetic diversity in the lines, good body type and expression, and outstanding personality. Yes, our intent is to breed to standard, so we will recover normal-pawed lykoi in the next generation, but in the meantime will enjoy these big beautiful paws. This line has so much to offer, and we can't wait to see future generations!

"GHOSTBUSTERS LITTER"

Artur (Dom Blue-Eyed Black & White Bi F1 Outcross) x Echo (Blue Lykoi)

From left to right, Dana Barret, Ray Stanz, Peter Venkman, Janine Melnitz, and Egon Spengler, our fabulous Ghostbusters litter! Peter (furry) is a lykoi outcross, carrying the gene, but not expressing it. His siblings are all homozygous lykoi with Egon also showing the Dominant Blue-Eyed trait from his father. At the bald stage, it can be difficult to see the difference, but the two on the left are black bi lykoi, the two on the right are blue and blue bi lykoi.
